If David Medina could take some lessons from Spencer Pratt he "might" be able to get elected as Mayor in Portland. However, the structure of Portland government would have to change. Give some real power back to the Mayor and take it away from City Council.

Vote for Ciatta Thompson!

Ive been posting to Drazan that her only possibility is to go full Pratt, no holds barred, loud & proud (not that kind of proud) appealing to parents about safety. Why not

Another ‘hit it outta da park’ article! Thanks for the logo roundup of all the rabble rousers. I’ve been informed that a number of their members were caught up being arrested in New Jersey after FLYING there from their Portland training camps. Builds their cred you know and also adds miles to their frequent flyer program.

Yes Richard the perfect candidate doesn’t live here because it appears it’s not bad enough yet. It’s truly sad that Pacific Palisades had to burn down to get the attention of people. I worry what it will take to wake up Oregon and Washington to the impending disaster that awaits.

Great post and thanks for introducing me to Theodore Dalrymple.

Thanks for including the Dalrymple quote, he's a Great.

Laugh out loud funny, and sad at the same time.

The old OREGONIAN is missed, but whatever this is supposed to be should have received euthanasia a few years ago.....

Hip, hip, hooray for Hollywood! The ads are great down there but wouldn’t work in Portland. Pratt is lucky to have the Hollywood push which means so much. Might just work in a town mad as hell.

Oh they definitely would work in Portland. Laughter is universal and the themes are identical….homeless enablement, potholes everywhere, NGO grifters, public sector unions running the show, needles and human waste on the streets…all combined with high taxes.

The bottom line of any endeavor is the buck. If the buck isn't there, the endeavor fails. It's more obvious in business, but the public sector is not immune.

Oh how Portland needs a Spencer Pratt…...

Pratt's ads are amazing (and hilarious). I hope Eli Arnold see this and get the same people to do his campaign ads in his fight with Mitch Green. Eli you got to do it…….. You need to call his campaign manager and find out who is making his ads….Here's the top ones to check out…they're genius

And while we’re wishcasting, Portland needs its own Nick Shirley to do some guerrilla journalism on the various NGOs on the public payroll.

We have any number of Pirate Media folks--PDX.Real, Owendoff, Max Steele, Jeff Eager, Bojack, and (occasionally) NW Examiner, and they deserve your support.

One of the reasons why Pacific Palisades burned down was that a critical reservoir nearby had been drained "for repairs" for months (the firemen ran out of water fighting the fire).

The area around the reservoir is guarded, but someone recently flew a drone over the reservoir, and guess what - it's still empty.

That's a level of civic incompetence that even Portland would struggle to achieve.

The main reason was that Bass and Gavin stopped the yearly sweeps of brush, fuel for the fires, knowing as any high school freshman might, in a science 101 class, that with twigs, branches, leaves, and pine needles, that fuel would ignite around the time the Santa Ana's blew in. Emptying the reservoirs was the coup de gras. It was the final admission that the whole thing was a well planned Land Grab. Now, I hope with all my heart that Spencer wins by a landslide. LA needs saving and he is the one who can do it.

At some point one wonders when incompetence crosses a line into nefariousness. My personal opinion is that many West Coast cities (LA, Portland, Seattle) are being fueled by something darker than sheer stupidity.

You have to work hard to be as criminally negligent and incompetent as Karen Basura!

We used to openly and disdainfully call them "commie pinkos"....

Karen Bass – Mayor of L.A.
INTENTIONALLY INCOMPETENT

“Back in the 1970s, community activist Karen Bass went on at least 15 trips to Cuba, many with a group known as the Venceremos Brigade, a Marxist group started by the Castro regime to subvert American interests, weaken democracies, and spread communism around the world.”

Sorry, but the irony made me LOL

Posted while running on wildwood trail… oh the horror of a spelling error!

I thought maybe it was intentionally ironic. :)

My thought exactly, Portland needs its own Spencer Pratt, an internet/AI-savvy guy ( or gal) with an instinct for the jugular, who can gleefully mock and satirize the DSA-bots and their fellow travelers. Humor is the best tool, especially when pointed at the humorless scolds of the far left.

The only problem with this idea is that political violence has been so normalized in Portland that any Spencer Pratt-wannabe who was effective in mocking the far left could reasonably expect his house to be firebombed.

If you want to see how pervasive left-wing political violence has gotten in Portland, peruse this website:
