Noisy, polluting leaf blowers are a legal crime against the soundscape and quality of life. Nothing wrong with wanting to ban them, or at least enforce quieter engines in newer models. It would be one less irritant in modern life.

A bit more about Rocío. At her arrest for fare evasion she supplied an incorrect name to the law enforcement officer. Her excuse: Latinx names are very complicated and she couldn’t remember what her legal name was. LOL.

Did you know one of the chief petitioners for 26–238 is an avowed communist and was arrested for felony rioting? His name is Evan Burchfield. Both the preschool tax and the capital gains tax were/are spearheaded by the Portland DSA (local Socialist Party). Both are attempts, not to fix a problem but to “redistribute wealth”.

"What’s a voter, more interested in streaming and sour beer and worrying about the next tranche of layoffs to do as reading the candidate’s self-authored profiles leaves them with the feeling of mistakenly stumbling into a meeting of Narcissists International."

That was brilliant. I laughed for five minutes. Great writing and funny, which is why your writing is so fun to read. You know, I voted for Christine Drazen for governor, me a disappointed Democrat, and she could have won, if she'd just gotten a few more votes. Tina won by the skin of her teeth and I hope she remembers that. Her win was not anything to be proud of.

I think in time, politically things are going to turn, I sure hope they do. Because the radical liberal Democrats have ruined this city and I don't know how anyone could deny that is the case. It's so obvious. Great article.

The average Portland voter? See the fellow over there? The one clutching himself and hopping about on one foot desperate to get bladder relief? When you point him to the privy he gets upset and says, "No! No! Where is the drinking water?"
